Ozzy a bit older...(edited by webmaster)
Schatzi is a 140lbs. life saver and love bug. The life saver part is, I have a medical problem where I sometimes black out, and if standing, this could be a big problem, I may also need help breathing. Schatzi has learned to recognize the symptoms, and comes to my help. She will bark as she holds me down if I've fallen to alert my wife. She has even pushed me to the couch to prevent me from getting hurt. She was not trained to do this but instead she has been trained for Search and Rescue as well as protection. She loves everyone! The stray kitten in this photo came into our home one day and has taken to Schatzi. We have 3 other cats as well.

Our Comments:
What a fantastic story! We always love to hear the heroic deeds of our beloved breed!

Ozzy a bit older...HI. My name is Ozzy. I'm 10 months old. Seven months ago (I was only three months old then) my picture was published here. But I've grown a lot since that. I'm nearly an adult now. I took basic obedience classes and finished the course as an "Honor Student" but my owner says that I still behave like a baby. I'm very loyal to my human family and I'm beginning to show some guardian instinct. My owners says that I have to be a great guardian dog because I have to protect their 8 months baby boy "Carlitos". So I'll try my best.

KittyYes, she is as spoiled as she looks.
My husband and I are surveyors for a gas company in Georgia. Last fall we had trouble with an adjacent landowners St. Bernard puppy following us down the pipeline as we worked. He called him over and over (Jim, I think). Then he called "Here kitty, kitty, kitty". That did it, off he went, and so did the man's cats.
A week or so later a friend showed us his Rott puppy and we fell in love. Luckily for us there was one of the litter left.

Our Comments: What a great success story, Keep us posted! ;-)

kaiserDon't wake me up!

This is how Kaiser sleeps when he's really really comfy. We got him from a great rescue group in Illinois (Champaign County Rottweiler Rescue), and he's worked out beautifully. He's a bit of an odd Rottweiler as you see by his white stripe on his chest. He also has an extra dew claw on his back paws (Yes, he has 2 dew claws on each back paw.)

Hope you get a laugh from the picture :)

Our Comments: OMG, We think Kaiser is part domestic short haired, or maybe Houdini, Great shot! ;-) - LOL.

Morry Here is a picture of Morry. He was rescued from a vets office in the Bronx, NY. Morry has had quit a hard life, it's amazing he's still here. He was a puppy mill puppy. As a result, he has hip Displacia, bad knees, and sickle hocks. But, to make things worse, when he was about 5 months old, he contracted parvo. His then owner decided to lock him in a closet. The owner did eventually take him to the vet and abandoned him there. We don't know how it happened, but while at the vets Morry's neck was very badly broken. If you ever saw the x rays you would cry. Many shattered vertebrae.

MCM Rottweiler Rescue was called. My friend Mary went to get him. Mary carried him out of the vets. She said: I should be able to carry a 6 month old rottie, that's how under fed he was.

Morry was named Morris Park as he was rescued from the Morris Park section of the Bronx. Morris Park eventually was shortened to Morry. Morry spent the next two years at Mary's house being rehabilitated. He was on antibiotics for a year and a half as the broken vertebrae had become infected. He could not move his neck for 2 years. Morry was deemed un-adoptable.

But then one day... My very wonderful rescued warehouse guard rottie passed away at age 14. We wanted to get our rottie Raven a buddy so I contacted the rescue Raven came from; MCMRR. No male was available, and after 2 weeks they asked if we would consider Morry as we'd had experience with special needs dogs.

Morry and Raven got along wonderfully so we adopted him. When we got him he could barely stand. He could walk (with a stagger) and trot with very exaggerated movement. He did fall down a lot and he couldn't run.

Morry improved, but then at one point I almost had to put him down, he was no longer able to get up or stay up. I was sure he wasn't going to last a week. But, then, for some odd reason I removed all grain from his diet. In 3 days he was up again, a week later he was running.

Morry is now 7 years old. He walks with a stagger, but he can run and even jumps over fallen branches or up the steps. He looks like he's alway about to topple over but he never does. He gets around fine, he can walk a mile without having problems. No one ever thought he'd make it this far and he's doing pretty well! He hadn't been on any meds since he was 3 years old. He's maintained mostly by diet and by the companionship of 3 other rotties, 2 cats, and my housemate and friends. He has been approved as a therapy dog with Therapy Dogs Intl Inc.

Our Comments: What an absolutely amazing story of courage, you were meant to get Morry!!!: )

Stacy & JakeThis is my beautiful baby Stacy. My husband and I rescued her from the Hanover County Animal Shelter her in Virginia. Before we got Stacy, I have never been what you would call a dog lover, I'm more into cats, and to tell you the truth, we just went to the pound to take a look, not to make a commitment. When we saw Stacy, my heart sank. She was the most beautiful dog I had ever seen!! She had 10 puppies with her, and they told us that her time was about up, that she may have to be put down. I came home that night and read EVERYTHING I could find on the breed, and talked to people that owned rotties. I had to have her.

I know I went back to that pound 4 times just to spend time with her. Needless to say, she came home with me, and has been the best dog I have ever owned!! She's very devoted to my family, and even the cats!! I had no idea that a dog could touch me the way that she has. I'll spend the rest of her life showing her how much I
appreciate what she has brought to my life and this family. Thank you Stacy, Baby!!!!

Our Comments: We LOVE to hear this kind of story! Stacy is a lucky girl!!! : )
