About 2 months ago in downtown Lewiston Maine where I work a family bought the building across the street from where I work. They live in the upstairs and are renovating the downstairs warehouse to be an antique
store. One day while I was working I looked out the front window and saw a
Rottweiler in the window of the warehouse, I went over to see her and opened the door to
give pats and kisses.
She was just so sweet and it was love at first sight. I showed the owners pictures of my rotts and said what
wonderful dogs rotts are. He proceeded to announce that "his was
stupid". Well right there I knew they could not be great people. Then last
Saturday they came over to where I work and told me that the dog had killed a mouse and
that "she was a killer" and they have had her locked in a dirt cellar for about two weeks and did I want her.
Well of course I wanted her. So I called my husband to come over and get her because I was still working and I wanted her out of the cellar.
When we went over to get her she was scratching and crying and howling at the cellar door to get out, my heart broke in two right there, it was all I could do not to hit that owner right there and then, but I refrained. Kyra leaped into my arms and heart and we have had her
ever since. We went hiking, and swimming and she has her own mommy now who loves her and
spoils her rotten. She finally has someone who VALUES her and let me tell you she is
Soooo Smart!!!!! She has "follow" down in 1 repetition, she now sits, gives kisses, hugs, and stays and heels...all this in only 1 week and they said she was stupid!!!!! Gee, I wonder who the stupid ones really were???
